Happy New Year Everyone!!!

A new year for me is always an opportunity to have a fresh start, a kharmic redistributing of energy, a relatively clean slate. I suppose the suppertitious side of me comes out during the holiday season, and I try to kick start the positive vibes in me, hoping that by sheer will alone I will manage to put a positive spin on things.I think that this year though, I may have just managed to pull that off!

The year has begun with a new full-time job, with benefits and a decent salary, photography clients in the works, and artistic shoots being booked and organized. My creative streak has definately got many outlets, and the only issue will be managing my time to accomodate all the stuff that is happening. A new laptop will be here in a couple of days too, a little Christmas resent from me to me... I desperately needed a new one, as this lovely piece of crap I am using has decided to behave like a temperamental, hormonal woman. We work when we wanna work, as much as we wanna work, and, if we decide we've had it, we randomly shut down programs. Try post-processing images with that!  So, soon, I'll be back to normal as far as that goes... yay!

For anyone that is looking to book me for some protraits in the next while, make sure you give me a week or two notice of your availability, as I will need to figure out the best time too.

So, I guess that's that. Have a happy, healthy, positive 2009, and stay positive!! ;)

Much love,

T.

What a week...

Family and Day to Day Stuff

Well. This should have been a "had a boring week" journal. I thought it would have been. But, as per usual, I didn't think of how the assholes I deal with on a day to day basis would fuck with my equilibrium.
Last week was consumed with dentist visits with my grandparents. Their age, their self-taught English, his hearing problems and her lack of understanding of all things medical and financial, meant that I had to be with them, and will be with them through the whole process.
It's very disheartening, watching the demise of those you love, and having to be strong for them, and try to tell them that it will all be ok.

Mom has been mistreated at work, and all I can say is, I was ready to go over there and re-arrange their layout. With a ball bat...

Work... work was a totally different ball game.
Saturday past was as close to bitch-slapping someone I have gotten since I left high school.
The miserable bitch I was working with decided to rub in her financial security (thank you daddy), her education (thank you daddy), her car (thank you daddy) and her "god's gift to man kind" attitude. THANK YOU DADDY! I've left a two page (typed out in font size 11 !!!!!) letter for the manager, informing her of what went on. Considering they are very much into PC professionalism, and I have been once chewed out about my sense of humor on the job, I thought that a whole day of the little c*** going on about all that crap, AND bossing me around like I was her subordinate (she is 5-6 years younger than me, and has only worked there 3 more months than me). Let's just say, Saturday where the 8 hours worth of straws that broke the camels back.....

To make things even better, I had another ultrasound today.. I hate them. They hurt. And, they hurt for a while. I got home, did some work around the building, and then I passed out for 5 hours.... <img title=" title=" (Sad)" width="15" height="15" />

On a Happy Arty-Farty Note

I ordered my umbrella light stand about 10 days ago... I received one on Thursday. On Friday, I received a second one... Well, not my fault the Ebay store employees can't count! <img title=" title=" (Big Grin)" width="15" height="15" />
And today I received my remote shutter release...
I am DAMN excited....!
As soon as I am feeling up to it, and have a little time off, I should be having some FUN FUN!!!!!

Studio Finally

Well, it took me the longest time, but I have managed to turn the spare bedroom into my studio space.
It now has some funky coloured wall, and my equipment in it.
I am also waiting for some more lighting to arrive..
Lets just say, I am thrilled and anxious.

I should be sharing some new images with you soon!

Little Changes

I am working on adding more and more things to my gallery, but it has been taking a lot longer than I would like. Sadly, real life gets in the way too sometimes. Little changes are occuring here too, adding other little delays.

However, I added a little something to my contact page here... It kinda slipped my mind that, in order for me to be able to reply to any comments and or messages sent through there, I would need your email address...

Well, it has been edited, and please feel free to get in touch..

Up and Running

Finally, I have managed to get my gallery up and running, and there are some photos for you all to have a look at.

My business cards are printed and being handed out at every chance, my new equipment is here and already being put to use.

Now, all that is needed is willing models for portfolio work, and clients in need of a very willing photographer with a brand new perspective!

Wish me luck all!

Taking the Plunge

Taking the plunge into this wild wide web, the beginning of this new entity has long been overdue. Concentration, time & effort. The courage to put myself out there. The need to finally call myself a Photographer. Not a true Pro, but by no means an amateur.

So here I am. There are many things finally ending, starting and being reborn this year, and my leap of faith into the world of photography has begun.

Cross your fingers for me.
